Ms. Arcila was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, South America and is proud to have the privilege of teaching in Pinellas County. She graduated from the Law School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with a Bachelor's degree in Juridical and Social Sciences and from the Santa Úrsula University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with a Teaching degree specializing in ESOL (English as a Second Language). Her foreign educational credentials were evaluated and accredited by the University of Miami - she is certified to teach ESOL, Social Studies, and Spanish. This her my seventh year teaching at OMS. Ms. Arcila is a member of WLTA (World Languages Teachers Association) and a core member of the International Day Committee of Pinellas County World Language Teachers. She is also a sponsor of PMAC (Principal Multicultural Activity Committee) at our school. In addition to teaching, she does Portuguese-Spanish-English translations. She is married to a Colombian, who is a retired Systems Analyst and currently a part-time translator. They have a daughter who is a native of Florida and is working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Business Leadership at USF-St. Petersburg College. She loves to spend time with family in her spare time. This will be her sixth year as a Spanish teacher at OMS. Ms. Arcila teaches Beginning Spanish, Advanced Spanish, Multicultural and portions of elective wheels. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
